The course is designed for anyone who wants to build a strong relationship with their dog from the very beginning, based on cooperation, trust, and fun. Ideal for puppies as well as dogs that are just starting their training journey.

Lesson 1 – theoretical (60 min, without dogs):

• how and when to reinforce your dog correctly,
• the difference between a verbal marker and a clicker,
• the basics of target training – what targets are, how to introduce them to your dog, and how they can be used in everyday life,
• using your own body as a training aid or barrier,
• how to safely guide your dog away from challenging or stressful situations,
• introduction to canine proprioception – what body awareness means, how to develop it, and why it is essential for movement confidence, injury prevention, and better coordination,
• how to teach your dog to perceive the crate as a safe space rather than a punishment – why it is important for a dog to have a calm space of its own, how to gradually introduce the crate, and how to incorporate it into everyday life.

Lessons 2–4 (30 min):
Practical training sessions in pairs. Each team has sufficient time for individual guidance and feedback. The other two teams will have the opportunity to practise calm crate confinement while waiting for their turn.

Lessons 3–8 (60 min):
Training in a small group (max. 4 dogs). We will build on the foundations already learned, improve the dog’s focus, and develop its ability to work calmly and effectively in the presence of other dogs.

What to bring:

• water bowl and water
• treats (2–3 types, prepared in small pieces)
• toys (ideally two identical ones; not for throwing, but suitable for tugging)
• crate for confinement (if available and preferred)
